Why do you like volunteering with AYP?
Despite this being my third year volunteering with AYP, I continue to find a lot of gratification! AYP perfectly fits into one of my interests in encouraging positive child development through community engagement programs. The supportive staff team and amazing participants make AYP the highlight of each week. For those seeking personal growth through laughter, don't miss out!

What are you most excited for about your practicum experience at AYP?
The opportunity to help foster the development of life skills for kids through AYP's programs. I grew up in an active  environment, where I was fortunate to learn first hand the valuable life lessons that can be developed from sport and activities. These are skills that continue to shape my identity and I look forward to nurturing the future skill development for kids in our community.
Fun Fact about me!
A fun fact about myself is that I played college basketball at Concordia University of Edmonton for four years!

What are you most excited about your practicum experience with AYP?
I am very excited to learn how the AYP values transfer into various games the kids will play. I also look forward to developing relationships with the kids and seeing them grow. I think AYP is a really great unique program as it uses play as the primary motivator for teaching and development and I am very excited to see how to facilitate learning through play!
